Corporate Sales and TechGifts for Grads
AlbaCorps Publishing offers IT textbooks in digital format as follows:
      1. State-Adopted Publications
      2. Ancillary self-study textbooks for total end-user mastery and future reference.
The plans offered below refer to the second category. Please see pages 3, 4, 5, and 11 for more details about the course content and delivery.
Problems and Solutions
Each year more than 5 million students graduate from US high schools. Of these, some will head for college and others will enter the workforce. Strong IT skills will be required in each venue.

95% of high school and college graduates will work in fields that are NOT directly related to the computer industry. Less than 5% will work as programmers, web page designers, engineers, or other fields that require extensive knowledge of computer operation. But, almost 100% will need strong end user skills (Information Technology.)

Sadly, most will be inadequately prepared. In spite of efforts in all levels of education and all state legislatures, conditions beyond the control of any group or individual will provide formidable barriers to the learning process. And, your business will suffer as a result.

The list of reasons for this inadequacy is long, and includes factors such as time, money, and even hormones. (Currently, IT courses are offered in 6th grade, where "birds and bees" take precedence over "bits and bytes.")

How much will your business lose as a result of this situation? This is impossible to say. Reports for the entire US range from tens to hundreds of billions of dollars in lost revenues. And, careless errors in the use of spreadsheets and other financial planning software can result in horrendous errors in earning and loss projections.

If you employ 500 individuals and each loses one hour a week and must rely on another employee for help for another hour a week, that one employee with an hourly salary of $15 can cost you over $1500 a year. 500 times $1500 = a conservative loss of $750,000 which does not include losses from the actual miscalculations.
How can we help?
We can't- at least, not directly. We have spent over 5 years developing interactive, self-study materials to help students and employees master end-user skills. There are over 500 of them (see our Standards Covered page). Being a small company with a very small marketing department, we simply cannot do any more to make this material available.

But, you can. Mastering the standards set forth by IC3 Certification is one of the best ways to insure that future and present employees are prepared to work in your office environment.

Most schools simply don't have the time or money needed to cover both comprehensive computer skills and core curriculum. And, most technology courses and textbooks do not even come close to covering the necessary material.

We would like to make your company an offer that will help insure that the students in communities that provide your present and future employees have the materials necessary for computer mastery.

The AlbaCorps IT+ course featured in other pages of this web site is a self-study course that can help students not simply to learn a few basics but also to find solutions to problems they will encounter in the workplace. Powerful search engines allow techniques not previously mastered to be found and demonstrated in milliseconds.

The AlbaCorps course is designed to be useful for decades to come, in spite of all but the most dramatic changes in computer usage. And, with our ownership plan, annual updates provided by our (or, in the case of ownership, your) technology staff can keep course content on the cutting-edge for as long as your company remains in business.

Single copies of this course sell for $99.95. Compare this to our competitors that offer IC3 training for several hundred to several thousands of dollars-or, the Video Professor

series which costs over $600 and covers less than 50% of the AlbaCorps course.

Single copies are expensive. Volume sales, however, can allow us to offer these comprehensive training materials for a fraction of this cost. And, educational discounts can cut this cost even more.

Note: For all of the plans listed below, AlbaCorps will provide annual updates to keep the course as current as possible.
Option #1: Purchase the Course for Your Employees
Individual copies of our course can be purchased for your employees as follows:
1-99 Units 100-999 Units 1000-4999 Units 5000+ Units
$69.95 $29.95 $19.95 $12.95
Get even better savings when you sign up for one of the education plans below.
Option #2: Buy and Donate
Using the TechGifts for Grads Program can give you even greater savings. Help students in your community by providing them with individual copies of the course and we'll include the following bonuses:
Bonus #1: For all businesses using this plan for the first time in 2007-2008, we will give you one copy for your business for every 10 copies you purchase and donate to a school of your choosing.
Example: Purchase 1000 CDs for a local school district at $19.95 per unit.
Receive 100 additional copies for your employees and their families.
(Did we mention that there is a Spanish supplement for Middle School level skills? This could be a real bonus for companies with Spanish-speaking employees).
Bonus #2: For all donations over 1000 units, we will brand the CDs with your company name and logo- plus links galore to your business web pages. For as long as these CDs are used, you will have free marketing!
Option #2: Lease and Project
Your second option can save you even more. Install our course master copy on your company server and use a password-protected page for student access. Students can log on and download material one unit at a time as needed for personal studies.
For the Lease and Project plan, you pay only $2 per student/employee per year. Head count must include all students in the districts you represent who are enrolled in grades 6 to 12 and all employees on your current payroll.
Example:

XYZ School District has a total enrollment of 5000 students. 50% or 2500 students are in grades 6-12.

(YOURCOMPANY) has 400 full time employees.

2500 + 400 = 2900 users.

Your annual cost: 2900 times $2 = $5800

For school districts with employee sponsorship, individual copies of the course on CD will be made available for a flat rate of $19.95 each (plus shipping). You must order these directly from AlbaCorps and deliver them to your employees/districts.
Divide and Conquer!

If your business is located in a major metropolis such as Houston or Chicago where student enrollment in grades 6-12 is over 100,000, you might consider finding other businesses to help share the cost.
Option #3: Course Ownership
If your anticipated need is extensive, you might consider our course ownership plan.

Participate in our TechGifts for Grads for 5 consecutive years. At the end, of year 5, we will offer the following:

For a one time only fee of $25 per employee, we will give you the master copies of the course. You may use the master to make copies for your employees and all school districts within a 10 mile radius of your home office- provided: 1) you do not sell them to anyone; and, 2) that district has not already adopted AlbaCorps Publishing textbooks.
